The Search Begins

While attending ISU I also realized that I would have to have the sufficient funds to pay for college and my dates. I did not have a scholarship or a savings so I had to get a job. Not working on Sundays was a priority of mine, due to this choice my selection was slim. My sister had told me of a location that had just opened up and because of corporate rules they were not allowed to open on Sunday. I walked into Hogi Yogi to get an application. The hiring manager had spent some time in Brazil as well and was intrigued by my ability to speak Portuguese and promptly gave me a part time job. Now that I had a job I was ready to begin the dating process.
I am not going to bore my kids with details of my dating life, but how I handled myself while on those dates did play a key role in me convincing their mother into marring me. One important fact was that I had a coworker named Jeremy that would inquire about my weekend every week and I would tell him of the activities that me and my date had attended that week.
Back the journey. I would attend class in the morning and go to work during the lunch rush, and then back to class. After my afternoon classes I would head back to work to assist in closing the shop. On my first day of work I had just finished my training lesson when the assistant manager came into work. The first thing I noticed about the assistant manager was that she had the longest and most attractive long hair I had ever seen. She had just turned 19 and was a friend of the owner and manager. I had not thought much of it at the time, but I had an instinctive attraction to brunettes. Over the course of a few weeks I had manged to annoy the living daylights out of the assistant manager due to my personality and the general chip on her shoulder towards guys. Knowing that I was not going to find my wife at a yogurt and sub shop I did not think much of it.
One of the annoying practices that I had was to respond in Portuguese whenever someone asked me a questions. The best time was during the lunch rush. I had heard and acknowledged the order and was promptly making the dish. The assistant manager was thoroughly annoyed and extremely sarcastic. I would say that she was so sarcastic that it verged upon rude, but that is just my opinion

In The Begining

I have decided to document the coming arrival of our seventh child using this blog, with the hopes that all of my children will be able to read it in the coming years. We are a family that has traveled most of the United States and really love this country.
The journey begins in a small town in Idaho where I was attending college at Idaho State University. I had just returned from a two year mission in Maceio Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; 21 and interested in dating more than school. I am the youngest of four children and my parents were a great example to me throughout my life; even though there were many things that would make them say hmm. They were understanding and worked through my bone headed actions of a teenager.
My older siblings had all married and started families and that is something that I knew I wanted as well. The nice thing about Pocatello is there were plenty of good looking and kind young ladies that shared my same beliefs.  They had to be kind since my personality comes across as cocky and conceited, but as my wife and friends have come to know I am just very confident.
My search began in the classes of the LDS institute building. The building was a newish and had been built to allow students and individuals from the community to attend gospel classes. I had enrolled in more institute classes than degree classes knowing that I would have a better chance of finding my future wife in one of those classes. I have also really enjoyed gospel classes and had a desire to become a religious instructor for the churches seminar program.
